Scheduling for Azure

Unlike the native Azure Scheduler (Azure Logic Apps) with limited functionality, Tidal’s adapter empowers you to efficiently handle scheduled jobs, leverage REST API, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and receive notifications. It enables advanced scheduling functionality, extending beyond the boundaries of Azure solutions and integrating with Azure workflows. With Tidal, you can automate cross-application business processes, utilizing the capabilities of SQL Server, SQL Database, machine learning, App Service, and Azure Portal.

Manage Cloud Resources More Efficiently

Use Tidal jobs to bring serverless Azure resources online when you are ready to run jobs in your compute instance and take them down when you’re not. Based on OAuth security access and control, you can define Tidal jobs to automate the consumption – and associated costs – of Azure virtual machines, so you’re only paying for them when you actually need them.

  • Create a virtual machine instance by using defined VM templates in Azure or by specifying parameters in Tidal
  • Start, monitor, stop, and restart Azure virtual machines
  • Deallocate or delete virtual machines
  • Capture and re-use virtual machine images
  • Secure authentication and access control with Azure Active Directory
  • Integrate with PowerShell for powerful scripting and automation

Apply More Advanced Scheduling Functionality

The integration provides functionality of the Azure Scheduler plus more advanced capabilities not available in the native scheduler:

  • Use time- and event-based scheduling
  • Define scheduling dependencies between Azure and other processes
  • Apply local, business and financial calendars to control when jobs run
  • Leverage graphical views of schedules
  • Centralize change management for schedules
  • Utilize endpoints effectively to define connection points
  • Extend scheduling capabilities to Java and Linux-based environments

Integrate Tidal With Azure Services

Our adapter for Azure also provides integration with popular Azure services – Tidal fits seamlessly into the Azure services that your processes are using:

  • Azure Service Bus
  • Azure Web PubSub
  • Azure AD
  • Service Principal
