Java Developer – Unix/Linux

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with Linux/Unix experience to join our team, reporting to our Vice President of Engineering.

Position Summary

The Java Developer is responsible for working with the Tidal software product team on development, maintenance, defect fixing and engineering of systems.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science
• 5+ years of work experience as a Java developer/product engineer
• Technical experience with Java, Spring, Eclipse, Jira, Subversion
• Experience utilizing Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)
• Experience from compile to debug full cycle within one of the IDEs
• Understanding of design patterns
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming
• Knowledge and understanding of environments, back-end systems
• Strong coding and documentation skills
• Unix/Linux System interfaces/environment
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Resourceful and efficient with a strong sense of ownership
• Strong team player with strong communication skills
